Give dragon boating a go

Want to try something new, meet some new people and have some fun? Come on down and give dragon boating a try.

Learn the dragon boat tips and tricks from our experienced coaches and paddlers at our Give it a Go session in September. No experience necessary. 

Whether you try it out, or meet other paddlers and join a team, this is the perfect place to do it. We have a number of teams looking for new people at the start of our season, so the best time to give it a go is October. Come and join us, meet the teams, hear their pitch, and learn the basics of paddling in just one morning.

Pier Z, Westhaven Marina, meet by the shower block.

WHAT TO WEAR / BRING

• It all depends on the weather, shorts, quick dry tee and jandals on warm/hot days. Long sleeve thermals, leggings, water shoes, beanie in colder days - Just don't wear jeans or heavey clothing
• Towel and change of clothes for after as you're likely to get splashed.
• Water bottle (Please leave your metal bottles at home as they will damage the boats if they role around)

PARKING

Free parking available 300m down Westhaven Driver at Pier X in the white lines.  Paid parking available at Pier Z.
